Flubs: Distractions or Unique Gems?

We attend the theatre to be enchanted, entertained, and to view some real, raw talent. Most importantly, from the moment the first act begins, we expect to be taken away into another world and not to return to reality until intermission.  However, because anything can happen during a live performance, it’s not unlikely that the illusion will be compromised before the house lights come up. Flubs—an inevitable fact of theatre, live broadcasts, and any medium with an audience— can either create an even more special memory or completely ruin the experience.

The Celebration of Music & Words that is 'The Band's Visit'

Listening to a David Yazbek score will always take you someplace. Whether it's the blue-collar grit of Western NYThe Full Monty) or the elegant style of the French Riviera( Dirty Rotten Scoundrels), there is, arguably, no better composer at transporting an audience than Mr. Yazbek. The apparently antithetical political parties (Republicans and Democrats) in America would probably be the most obvious example for this readership.

In Light of #MeToo, Is Broadway Going to Address Its Forgiveness of Their Current Phantom?

Someone who sexually abuses a teenage girl on multiple occasions should be in jail.

Someone who confesses to and is convicted of sexually abusing a teenage girl on multiple occasions should be registered as a sex offender.

Someone who is convicted of sexually abusing a teenage girl on multiple occasions, should not be allowed to return to the very place of work where they committed the crimes.

Seems pretty straightforward and reasonable right? Can we all agree? If that's the case then,

Someone who is convicted of sexually abusing a teenage girl on multiple occasions, should not be starring as the current Phantom of the Opera.

RANKED: Top 10 Jason Robert Brown Songs

There is little argument about Jason Robert Brown's talent, impact and influence over the past 20 years in musical theatre. From storytelling to writing the perfect ballad, Brown's work always resonates with listeners at the deepest levels.

Beyond the content of the lyrics, Brown's compositions highlight the human voice in ways that aren't often seen. It's no surprise that in almost every single audition, one of his songs is used.

So without further ado, here are my top 10 Jason Robert Brown Songs.
