Scott Rudin will resign from The Broadway League

According to a story in the New York Times, Scott Rudin has said he will resign from The Broadway League.

The article states,

And, in written responses to questions for this article, he said he was "profoundly sorry" for his behavior and revealed that he is resigning from the Broadway League, which is the trade association of producers and theater owners.

"I know apologizing is not, by any means, enough,' he said. "In stepping back, I intend to work on my issues and do so fully aware that many will feel that this is too little and too late."

Since the publishing of an expose by The Hollywood Reporter that looked into longstanding allegations of workplace misconduct and bullying, the reckoning has begun for Scott Rudin.

Over the last week, he announced he would “step back” from his Broadway productions and national tours. The film studio, A24, announced they will sever their partnership with Rudin.

This past week there was a massive protest in New York City. One of the demands that the March on Broadway announced was that Scott Rudin be removed from The Broadway League.
