Colleen Ballinger Loses Sponsorships After Alleged Inappropriate Behavior With Minors
In the wake of multiple allegations of inappropriate behavior with minors and grooming against Colleen Ballinger, two sponsors of her podcast have ended their deals with the YouTube star.
Ballinger has been accused by several of her longtime fans of “grooming” them when they were teens, is also facing new allegations this week that she sent her fans nude photos and videos of another influencer without the woman’s consent.
Last week, Ballinger released a 10-minute song denying the allegations, calling it a “toxic gossip train.”
“Hi, everyone. I’ve been wanting to come online and talk to you about a few things even though my team has strongly advised me not to say what I want to say, I recently realized that they never said I couldn’t sing what I wanna say,” she says in the video.
After the allegations, two of her sponsors have pulled out of advertising on her podcast. A skincare company OneSkin severed ties with Colleen, saying ... "We were made aware of this previously and have decided to cease the relationship completely. This behavior is appalling and we do not condone or support it in any form."
Another advertiser, healthcare marketplace Zocdoc, says they will no longer run ads on her podcast.
It’s important to not that both these companies pulled out before her cringe-worthy video, so it’s unknown if that will cause further financial fallout for the once-budding star.
