Zachary Levi's Appalling Comments on Gavin Creel’s Death

In what can only be described as another episode in Zachary Levi’s unprecedented, unforced career suicide, Zachary Levi tried to link Gavin Creel’s recent tragic passing to COVID-19 vaccines. Levi’s comments came during a session on Instagram Live.
Levi states at one point in the video that he believes that Creel would still be alive had he not taken the vaccine.
Let me make this abundantly clear - Gavin Creel sadly passed away due to an aggressive form of metastatic melanotic peripheral nerve sheath sarcoma. There is currently no credible scientific evidence to suggest that COVID-19 vaccines cause cancer. They do not alter a person’s DNA or cause changes to cells that could lead to cancer.
There is no place for baseless speculation when it could jeopardize people’s health and wellbeing. Levi’s comments are not only speculative but also reckless. He chose to cast doubt on the circumstances of Creel’s passing by suggesting, without evidence, that COVID vaccines played a role. For him to turn an enormous moment of grief into a platform for conspiracy theory is deeply disrespectful.
What is needed now is a refocusing on what truly matters: honoring Gavin Creel’s incredible life and work. Creel was an outspoken advocate for love, equality, and acceptance. He used his platform to support others, particularly the LGBTQ+ community and aspiring theatre artists. His passion for theatre, for life, and for justice should be remembered and celebrated—not overshadowed by unfounded rumors or conspiracy.
It’s disgusting that instead of honoring Gavin’s life and legacy, Zachary Levi chosen to divert attention to nonsense. Gavin Creel deserved better, and so do all of us who are left mourning his loss.
