“It’s been reported that Disney is going to develop a new “Pirates of the Caribbean” film with Margot Robbie set to star. While a commendable move to center a franchise on a female character, I question why Disney picked a white woman rather than a woman of color, especially when Hollywood is being put on notice to increase BIPOC representation on film.
