It’s Today! : Hallelujah! JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR Rises Again

Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's groundbreaking 1969 rock opera JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR marks its 50th anniversary this year and a brand new touring production of the popular musical theatre staple is preparing to launch, with an attention-grabbing new promotional video now available to view.
Based upon the 2016 and 2017 Olivier Award-winning Regent's Park Open Air Theatre staging by Timothy Sheader, featuring choreography by Drew OcOnie, the electrifying new take on the greatest story ever told will tour 50 cities during its run, kicking off in Austin, Texas this October. Full casting is expected to be announced soon.
Of note, this production comes hot on the heels of the rapturously received NBC telecast JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR LIVE IN CONCERT starring John Legend which recently took home the 2018 Emmy Award for Outstanding Variety Special (Live) along with four technical trophies.
