Tony Award queen Audra McDonald joins with frequent stage and screen headliner Michael Shannon in a hotly anticipated revival of Terrence McNally's oft-performed two-hander, FRANKIE AND JOHNNY IN THE CLAIR DE LUNE.

Obie Award winner Arin Arbus makes her Broadway debut helming the new production of McNally's drama, which will be the premier offering of the 2019-2020 Broadway season, beginning performances in May at a theater to be announced.

The creative team includes Riccardo Hernandez (Sets), Emily Rebholz (Costumes), Natasha Katz (Lighting), Nevin Steinberg (Sound), J. Jared Janas (Hair, Wig and Makeup, among others, produced by Hunter Arnold, Debbie Bisno and Tom Kirdahy.

Originally presented Off-Broadway in 1987 starring Kathy Bates and F. Murray Abraham, the searing romantic tale was successfully revived on Broadway in 2002 in a lauded production starring Edie Falco and Stanley Tucci, directed by Joe Mantello. Additionally, a 1991 feature film showcased Michelle Pfeiffer and Al Pacino in the title roles.
